President Carol Heiser presided.
President Announcements
- District IV meeting was a success. Thanks to all who contributed. Minimal financial impact.(-$36) without C. Farabaugh’s expenses.
- By March 1, for the District IV York Flower Show, each club is to make 10 bird-nesting balls to sell at the show in the York GC booth to benefit District IV. Need a volunteer from members to chair.
- District IV State convention is at State College in April. Check Keystone Gardener for details.
- Need hostess for York Flower Show from 12-2 pm on Friday, March 4. See Carol for signup sheet.
Secretary’s Report: Minutes from November are on website under Members Only section. Contact Connie if no computer access and desire a paper copy.
Treasurer’s Report: Christmas Sale revenue was $ 5947.50. Reports to be filed for audit.
Programs: Photography today and monarch butterflies next month.
Corresponding Secretary: Grace reviewed sending two thank you cards for donations to the Club, four get well cards, one birthday card and one thinking of you card. Received one thank you card.
Membership: Regina announced guests and new member Carol Goodling. Say goodbye to Julie Davis who is moving to Virginia. This is her last meeting. We will sorely miss Julie.
Ways & Means: Rita reviewed plans for spring workshops and sale. Sale date is May 21 with workshops the week prior. Kathy Murphy is new chair. Still need two co-chairs to learn the ropes. New sale location is Fire Station parking lot. Will require more publicity about new location.
Hospitality: Thanks to Terry Cabana (chair), Judy Bugert, Jean Holder, Robin Kendlehart and Joan Roberts for the pretty valentine themed refreshments and arrangement.
New Business: Motion passed to award the Peggy Reynolds Creative Design award at the York Flower
Special Announcements: Janet McCoy, new member, invited anyone to a “Let’s Talk Roses” coffee at her home on February 18. Please call her to attend. Full info will appear in newsletter.
Betsy Meyer announced the “I want you to come walk with me” on April 30 from 2-5pm at the Middle School.
Rain date is May 1, same time. Sponsored by Healthy Adams County.
