Garden Clubs Scholarship Awards Times Two

Sarah Harris was the recipient of the Gettysburg Garden Club’s $1,000 Scholarship and The Biglerville Garden Club’s Angela Nadeau $500 Scholarship, both presented on May 20^th at the Gettysburg Fire Hall. These scholarships are awarded to someone entering the field of Horticulture. Sarah is the daughter of Lynn Harris and the late Todd Harris. She is a  2017 graduate of New Oxford High School and will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the fall majoring in Botany/Sustainable Agriculture. In high school she was a member of the National Honor Society and was recognized by Penn-Live Magazine as one of the “Best and Brightest” students of the year. Sarah was President of the Environmental Club, active in Girl Scouts, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the high school orchestra, debate team, school newspaper and yearbook.
